Five Essential Make Up Must-Haves

My makeup kit is overwhelmed with lots and lots of cosmetic products, do I use them all? NO.

I picked few that I think is essential for my everyday basic makeup look.

Probably you have seen this kind of blog post gazillion times from other blog site but I still would like to share mine. Teehee.

1) Laneige BB Cushion
Perfectly covers the pores and brighten up my face! It makes my skin flawless.

Positive: Non greasy, longer lasting. Able to create even skin tone.

Negative: Probably targeted to white and fair people, its not easy to find a tone that matches my skin color. The one that I applied is one tone brighter than my skin tone. But well, I cover it up with powder later on so it's fine =), coverage not that high (I am not sure whether to put this on the negative side or not because if the coverage is too high, it will look fake on me. As though I apply cement on my face =.=)

2) Sephora Eye Liner
THE BEST LIQUID EYELINER EVER!

Positive: I don't use other types of eyeliner, eg gel, pencil or whatsoever. What I like about liquid eyeliner is because it provides precise definition to the lash line and easy to achieve winged eye look. The color black is very solid. I don't have to draw several times to achieve the solid black that I want. BEST part of this product> wallet-friendly, only RM49.90. It dries up really quick as well.

3) Cinderella Story Volume Up Long Lash Brush Mascara
I don't like mascara that clumps up after few coating, this mascara works really well on me.

Positive: This mascara gave me the effect that I want (ultra- long effect) <3, easy to remove as well.

Negative: It can't enhance your eye make up if you're doing smokey big eye, exaggerated eye make up, because this mascara only can create natural look.

4) Blusher (no idea what brand it is because I bought it at a store in Time Square, non branded)
Tanned skin people like me usually doesn't suit pink blusher. But I don't give a shit.

It's pink btw, picture doesn't look like it ><

Positive: Nice color. Doesn't look as pink as the products.

Negative: Doesn't last long, pink color will turned into coral color after few hours. Weird

5) Etude House Lip Stick & Lip Tint
I personally prefer lip tint rather than lipstick because it stays longer. I have the lip stick in my handbag just in case I need to touch up but most of the time... lip tint will do.

Positive: The color is very strong and by applying one coat is already enough.

Negative: It makes your lip dry, strongly advisable to apply lip balm before putting the lip tint.

Young Hearts Midvalley Grand Opening

My first task given by my boss when I joined Young Hearts was to organize a grand opening for their boutique outlet at Midvalley megamall. I was like wow.. chill.. I haven't organize any big event before but thanks boss for the opportunity!

Young Hearts Grand Opening was held on 11 July 2015, it was such an honored to have Sabrina Beneett Miss Universe Malaysia 2014 and Geena Yew Miss Asia Malaysia 2013 to be our special guest on that event. Not forgetting my friends Clover, Ramona, Danny, Yana, Ida, bloggers and media who came and supported this event. To be frank I am really touched.

There were TWO promotions running during that event. 

1) It's time to bin your bra

    Trade in your old bra and get 50% off on next bra (great deal LOL)

2) 30% off storewide, for normal priced items

This 2 promotions attracted a lot of customers, well who don't like SALES AND PROMOTIONS? 

Haha..

Through this event, hopefully we can reach out to more customers and educate young girls on wearing their bra correctly. Choosing the right cup and size is very important, Young Hearts promoters are very professional in giving advice and helping you to choose the perfect fit. *wink*

The mini cupcakes from Twelve cupcakes, mini doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, and also standing alphabet cupcakes from Passion and Creative.

I had fun although I worked till late night the day before the event but luckily thanks to make up I looked fine! Phewwwww~ hahaha! Once again thank you to those who came! Thank you to my colleagues as well for making this happen! Yeay!

MyEspresso Cafe USJ Subang Jaya

Hello lovelies, another weekend has passed! Last Saturday I went to meet up with a friend at USJ and discovered this hidden cafe - My Espresso

As usual I ordered my all time favorite coffee, cafe latte and the photography session begins! LOL

All the photos was taken using Samsung A5 and edited using Vscocam <3

I like space that have lots of lights and clean. This place was flooded with natural sun lights and it compliments the white furniture and white wall. 

Brown or woody color decorations on the wall warm up the entire space.

It's a great place to chill with a cuppa. Definitely will pay them a visit again! They are currently doing renovation *downstairs* so they will re-open their business again in one week time.

Power of Networking

I do realized how important it is networking for career success.

Things can be done smoothly when your networking is strong. I have to admit that I am lacking of this skill. I am not born as a net-worker and to be honest I have no idea how to grow my network, but I just can't ignore it as it is essential for my work.

A quote that I found online and I somehow think it is very true and useful.

People need people.
I would say one of the biggest mistake I have made was ignoring the power of networking! Now that I am in marketing, I need more contacts, my job requires me to deal with all kinds of people, from management level to operation level, top to bottom. Networking with the 'right' people helps me to get my job done easily. I am slowly growing my network and adapting to this culture.

I came to realize that job can't be done individually, oh probably can if you are a Superman. As for me, I need to liaise with different departments, different organizations. All this requires good networking skill!

I got my current job through a friend of mine! When I decided to resign from my previous company, I just can't tender the letter yet as I haven't found any job even though I have send out tons of cv and resume! Ended up my friend recommend me to my current boss and guess what.. He hired me! Wow.. the power of network! Magically proven!

People do business with those they like and trust, I will definitely work on my networking skill because

Ultimately, it’s not about who you know ... but WHO KNOWS YOU!!

Review: Amante Nail Spa and Body Care

Tired?

Stress?

Depress?

Sleepy?

Lacking energy?

I have all the symptoms above and I really needed a break. Teehee, lucky me I have gotten Amante complimentary back massage spa from my colleague. Probably because facing laptop too much, it causes me back and shoulder pain, hence a back massage is needed. Plus, who don't like to get pampered? 

We went to PJ branch, Jaya One to be precise. I like the environment there as it is very cozy, the dim light makes me very sleepy and I just love how relaxing that place is. Can't wait to try out the massage.

After we have registered ourselves at the counter, we were brought to a room and we.. need.. erm.. to take out our clothes... so basically.. half naked. =.='' SHY TO THE MAX! hahahahahahaah 

The masseuse was very professional, she uses the traditional massage skill and I think it suits me well.. I have tried Thai massage and Bali style massage, it was very painful and somehow it was like a torturing session for me. 

 30 mins complimentary massage ended and I felt so reluctant to get up. I will definitely come again for their other spa treatment cause I enjoyed it so much!!

Review: Sanncious Weight Management Beverage

Hello ladies, thinking of losing some weight but you are too lazy to hit the gym?
It happens to me as well, too busy of work and by the time you reached home, you have consumed most of your energy and what you wanted to do is just rest, who would want to go to gym anymore? Probably tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow and the procrastination never ends.

I do hit the gym sometimes, depending on the mood that day, so it won't really contribute much on my weight losing process. But luckily, I found this product Sanncious Weight Management Beverage! Coffee Latte

For the coffee, I drink it in the morning, everyone needs coffee to keep them awake. Instead of normal 3-in-1 nescafe or old town white coffee that I used to drink last time, I switched it to Sanncious Coffee Latte. The taste is more or less the same as the usual latte that you can get from other cafes, it act as a morning booster to keep you awake, and the most important part is it can keep you SLIM. It contains anti-oxidants to fight free radicals and degenerative diseases, it can promotes beauty and skin health as well as guard against the much- dreaded ageing process. Since I need coffee every morning, might as well change to this brand and get slim right? Why not? Hehe 

Iced Lemon Tea

After the morning coffee, I will take this Sanncious Iced lemon tea before my lunch meal, it helps to block the oil intake of your food and act as a fat burner as well. Other than that, lemon tea also contains 9 different types of health promoting ingredients specially selected for properties that boost metabolism for weight loss. I love this because of the refreshing taste and it is not too sweet nor too sour. Taste just nice! 

Passion Fruit

This is my least favorite drink among all, but this is the most effective one compared to the other 2 as Sanncious Passion Fruits flushes all the toxin from your body and nurture the inherent flora of the digestive system. You'll get immediate result after consuming 15 sachets. Why is it my least fav? The taste was ok but I don't like the texture because it is very concentrated, I have to add lots of water to make it more dilute.

Result:

I lose 1 KG after taking the beverage and my tummy seems flatter and not as bloated as before. Plus, I do gym sometimes so the result slightly faster. Teehee

Are You On Tinder?

Oh.. The red flame thingy.. Heard about Tinder? The so called hottest dating app so far and Tinder has not only dominated the UK-Dating scene but also in other countries. At the earlier stage, tinder was commonly used as a hookup app, probably even now. However in Malaysia's context and since we are a conservative country, Tinder might just be a normal dating app, I assumed. LOL

I've downloaded this app about 2 months ago and I had no idea on how this app works, I was thinking that it might be another social media app similar to Facebook or Twitter.

How does Tinder works?
You will need to create an account or the simplest way is use your existing Facebook account to create one. No worries as the information shows on Tinder are very minimal. It allows you to post only 6 pictures and a very short description about yourself. Once your account has been created then it will start using the GPS to search for your matches based on the age range and distance range that you have selected. Eg: 25-30 years old, distance within 20 mi. Tinder will narrow down the selection and you can now swipe through your nearby singles, LEFT means NO, RIGHT means YES. Here's a tip, make sure your profile picture is eye-catching enough because users have only split second to look at your picture and that plays a very crucial part.
If they swiped RIGHT as well, congratulation because you can now start a conversation with your matches.

What I like about Tinder.
I would want to clarify that I downloaded this app without knowing the function of it. Thanks to Marcus I blindly downloaded it and notice that it was a dating app. Oh well, I don't need a date but there's no harm making new friends so why not? The things that I like about Tinder is because it's very easy to use, very straight forward, not as complicated as Facebook. Unlike Whatsapp chat, Tinder doesn't show your 'last seen', it doesn't show you're 'typing..' , you can't share pictures or send voice note. Basically just text! Somehow I feel safe using Tinder to chat, as all the personal details won't pop up, cause anyhow they are still strangers. You might not know who they really are. Right? Also, if you want to Un-match, yes you can do so, it is something like the Block function in Facebook, so is a forever bye bye. HAHAHA.


What I don't like about Tinder.
The notifications somehow doesn't really work, so I wouldn't know whether there's messages or not. Second, although it doesn't show your last seen but it shows when you're last logged in. If you last logged in to the app was 2 hours ago, it will shows at the main profile itself. Third, you wouldn't know his religion/race/nationality as I mentioned earlier, very minimal information provided we can only assume by his/her name. Lastly, once you swiped left there's no turning back for that, but fret not because Tinder has an UNDO button now if not mistaken and require you to pay for that, which I don't really care and won't spend a penny for that app. LOL

Conclusion. 
After my two months experimenting that app, I have total of 13 matches and only 2 of them I have met them in person before. There could have been more matches but I un-match those who started off the conversation in a very cheezy way and those who ask for hookup. Ok let's back to topic, I find it weird because we might have a lot to say or text in phone but when we meet up there's awkward silence in between the conversation. So after the meet up, we rarely chat anymore maybe because there's no spark and what's the point of wasting each others time right? Conclusion, is a waste of time. I haven't uninstall the app yet, probably I will just leave it as it is, it might be useful for me maybe 10 years later. As for now, I still want to remain single and enjoy the freedom that I have.

Advice.
If you are still thinking Tinder would be your kind of Cinderella story , where you can meet your prince charming, fall in love and and live happily ever after? Well you might need to think twice because men who on Tinder just want to have casual sex, mostly. Lol. Probably there are exceptional cases out there, I would really want to know. Share with me if you found your true love through Tinder.
